Just 18 lovely tweets to celebrate the last day of TXFM

Gone but never forgotten <3

TODAY IS TXFM’S last day on the air and people across Dublin are only devastated.

To mark its final day on the air, listeners and presenters alike have been paying tribute to the station on social media.

Cathal Funge kicked off the goodbyes on TXFM Breakfast this morning…

And from there, the tributes started pouring in

Acts like We Cut Corners, Jape, Le Galaxie and Darling all praised the station for giving a much-needed platform to Irish music.

Remember when Zack Morris and the gang saved The Max?

Can’t we do that for TXFM? :(

Meanwhile, listeners expressed gratitude to TXFM for introducing them to loads of whopper new music

And for providing the best background music of any station

<3

And for keeping them sane in the midst of Leaving Cert study and college work

Sure where else would you get it?

Former Phantom FM employees like Today FM’s Alison Curtis and Nadine O’Regan waxed nostalgically about the station…

And Today FM dedicated LCD Soundsystem’s All My Friends to them

Nice touch, lads.

*sniffles*
